Is it possible to develop synergies between the technical and manual skills of master ceramists and the precision of advanced robotics? We will try to answer this question with <\/span>Ceramic Futures 2.0<\/b>, the <\/span>new experimental course designed for ceramists<\/b>, designers, and students, developed by <\/span>Artex<\/b> in collaboration with <\/span>MX3D<\/b>, a company specializing in robotic metal 3D printing systems. Both are partners in the Horizon Europe <\/span>Tracks4Crafts<\/b> project, which is co-funded by the European Commission for the five-year period 2023-2027.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Building on the initiatives carried out in 2024 <\/span>(<\/span>see the webinars here<\/span><\/a>)<\/span>, Ceramic Futures 2.0 aims to explore the possibilities of cross-fertilization between artisan ceramics and <\/span>Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM)<\/b>, one of the most innovative techniques in metal 3D printing. In order to do this, we are organising <\/span>two online<\/b> introductory <\/span>sessions<\/b> on the topic, on <\/span>March 10 and 17<\/b> at 3:30 p.m. on Zoom, and a <\/span>two-day in-person workshop<\/b> on <\/span>March 31 and April 1<\/b> at Officina Creativa LAB (Via Giano della Bella 20, Florence).<\/span><\/p>\n

Organized by <\/span>Artex<\/b>, with the participation of <\/span>Filippo Gilardi<\/b>, R&D manager at MX3D, and <\/span>Gabriele Goretti<\/b>, University of Pisa, DESTEC Departments.<\/span><\/p>\n
