We will try to answer this question with <\/span><b>Ceramic Futures 2.0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the <\/span><b>new experimental course designed for ceramists<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, designers, and students, developed by <\/span><b>Artex<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in collaboration with <\/span><b>MX3D<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a company specializing in robotic metal 3D printing systems. Both are partners in the Horizon Europe <\/span><b>Tracks4Crafts<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> project, which is co-funded by the European Commission for the five-year period 2023-2027.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Building on the initiatives carried out in 2024 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLVIqriTcPXwKUCtcPBeJIXZ5crJz3Zfb2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">see the webinars here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Ceramic Futures 2.0 aims to explore the possibilities of cross-fertilization between artisan ceramics and <\/span><b>Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, one of the most innovative techniques in metal 3D printing. Following the <\/span><b>two virtual meetings<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, during the <\/span><b>workshop<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the craftperson\/student partnerships will be defined and the actual experimentation will begin. The different ideas will be developed by the various groups through targeted mentoring by the University of Pisa and MX3D, with periodic reviews. Artex is running a pilot case study on the ceramics sector, Ceramic Futures, offering workshops and seminars, both in person and online, to introduce new technologies, techniques, and strategies.
