It took place in <b>Barcelona, Spain<\/b> and it was co-hosted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/ccam.gencat.cat\/ca\/inici\/index.html#googtrans(ca|en)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Consortium of Commerce, Crafts and Fashion<\/a> (CCAM).\u00a0The conference was held in <strong>English<\/strong>\u00a0and on site simultaneously translated to Catalan.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/live\/RZ9PJLbhww4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click here to watch the Conference<\/strong><\/a><\/h4>\n<p>The title of the 2024 annual conference was <b><i>State of Crafts: Key Pillars in the Contemporary Craft Sector<\/i><\/b>. The meeting was opened by <strong>Roger Torrent<\/strong>, Minister of Business and Work of Catalonia, and included the participation of more than 30 craft organizations across Europe in addition to a great programme of speakers, with the aim to create a public discussion on the importance of crafts in the Old Continent. Guest speakers included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Paulo Ribeiro<\/strong>, Founder and Director of Contemporania;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jessica Guy<\/strong>, Strategic research lead at Distributed Design, Fab Lab Barcelona;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Graciela Melitsko Thornton<\/strong>, Creative Green Consultancy and Training Programme lead at Julie\u2019s Bicycle;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rosa Mu\u00f1oz<\/strong>, Brand, trends and futures consultant at Ohay\u014d;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ana Cristina Mendes<\/strong>, Deputy Director of CEARTE &amp; WCCE Vice-President;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Laura Miguel Baumann<\/strong>, Secretary General WCCE.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This year\u2019s theme focused on <b>highlighting key issues in European crafts today<\/b>.
